Emergency Officials
At Marathon Pipe Line LLC (MPL), strong partnerships and rapid communication with emergency officials are essential for effective response to pipeline leaks.
Report a Pipeline Emergency
To report a potential leak, suspicious activity near an MPL-operated pipeline or facility, or if a pipeline is struck or exposed, call our 24/7 emergency number: 1-833-675-1234.

Emergency Response Plans
MPL has developed extensive emergency response plans for all our operational sites, based on the knowledge of our personnel and the availability of equipment, tools, and materials. Marathon Emergency Response Plans are readily available at every facility and can be accessed by emergency officials upon request.

Liaison Meetings
MPL stays actively engaged with emergency officials in the counties where we operate. Our primary objective is to facilitate pipeline emergency preparedness and readiness plans with firefighters, police, emergency medical services, and emergency management agencies.

Emergency Official Grants
We offer grant funding to emergency officials near the pipelines we operate. Emergency response teams can use grants to attend training sessions or acquire new emergency response equipment.
How to Apply for a Grant
While grant proposals are accepted by invitation only, we encourage emergency responders to reach out and share their needs. If selected, you'll be contacted with further instructions.
