At Marathon Pipe Line LLC (MPL), our Operational Excellence Management System (OEMS) is the framework that guides our work, helping us manage risk, protect people and the environment, and continuously improve our performance.
What is an OEMS?
Our OEMS is a structured, process-based approach built on American Petroleum Institute (API) Recommended Practice (RP) 1173, Pipeline Safety Management Systems. By implementing an OEMS, we apply the Plan-Do-Check-Adjust (PDCA) cycle to every aspect of our operations, ensuring intentional, data-driven decision-making and continual improvement.
