Public Officials
At Marathon Pipe Line LLC (MPL), we uphold an open line of communication with public officials, working hand in hand to keep communities informed about pipeline safety.
Report a Pipeline Emergency
To report a potential leak, suspicious activity near an MPL-operated pipeline or facility, or if a pipeline is struck or exposed, call our 24/7 emergency number: 1-833-675-1234.
Safe Project Planning
Never assume the location or depth of the pipeline. Always call 811 or submit an online request at call811.com at least three working days before excavating or planning improvements to public spaces such as buildings, parks, roadways, or ditches.
Within 48 hours, an MPL employee will mark the pipeline location with paint and flags and perform a depth analysis so that the project can continue safely.
Public Engagement is a Best Practice
By engaging and communicating openly about pipeline construction and operations, we are reinforcing a culture of safety and working together to safeguard the community.
